I always heard Buckingham/Nicks in The Walkabouts...

Download their track Devil in the Details from their forthcoming album,
on www.thewalkabouts.com and maybe you'll hear what I mean. They're still very good I think.... What do you think about it?

just toppin the thread. nobody interested to share his/her meaning?

I mean they sing-along like our heroes did frequently back then and, Chris has a screaming guitarsound that reminds me of lindsey. And the compositions are a little similar too.

......AND they're ex-lovers.....

The new track sounds great.
There's definitely a Stevie-esque quality to her voice at times.
Not sure about the Lindsey comparison though
thanks for the link :)

No, it's the way they sing together, not particular voice-wise, and the way he uses the screaming guitar as basis for songs strike me as lindseyesque...

glad you picked this up. I knew I could count on you.... ;)

not sure I hear much in common. A little toward the end of the song in the phrasing and harmony - but I've heard much better similarities in other bands - like The Innocence Mission.

On a related note, I could always hear FM doing an incredible version of "Dead In The Water" by David Gray.
