Tori Supports Kylie

Go over to hereinmyhead.com and listen to Tori's version of Can't Get You Out of My Head in support for Kylie Minogue. It is amazing.

Damn it, I didn't even know she was in Australia...well to be honest until I heard that I would have had no desire to see her perform, but I think I will go out and buy the Beekeeper tomorrow...her voice is strangely haunting.

if you've never really heard tori or know her music, I'd buy tales of a librarian first. it's kind of a greatest hits that will give you a wide range of her musical styles. to me, her first album is her best and most personal. with each album she has explored different sounds and so you may like one album, but not the next...so librarian would probably be money better spent. hope you enjoy whichever you pick up. beekeeper has some amazing songs on it too.

 FBR is my favorite Tori cover. I was so amazed when I first heard it on the Concertina single. It's just beautiful. Now I need to go listen to it . . .

YES! This is a good cover! I have in on the Leonard Cohen tribute album. The Sting/Chieftans and Peter Gabriel covers are cool too!

Tales from a Librarian is the CD that got me into Tori's music...and now I have most of her albums...

My favorite songs on the Beekeeper are : Original Sinsuality, Beekeeper, Parasol, The Power of Orange Knickers,Hoochie Woman, Barons of Suburbia...but I've grown to love them all..

She is truly an incredible performer--when I saw her in April in Atlanta,it was really incredible...she came out and did Original Sinsuality, and went straight into "Blood Roses" which I love.

She's coming back to do another leg of USA shows this fall, all of the dates havent been released, but it's going to be larger places..in the Spring she played small theaters, but she's already scheduled for Jones Beach and PNC Bank Arts Center for the Fall so far..

The Beekeeper is an awesome album. I'm actually listening to it right now.

I've had "Cars and Guitars" and "Jamaica Inn" stuck in my head for a couple of weeks, but this morning when I woke up the voices in my head were singing "Barons of Suburbia".

Unfortunately, it seems her summer/fall tour is going to be solo, just her and her piano/keyboards, instead of with a band. :( I've seen Tori twice solo, and it's an amazing experience, but I was really hoping for a band tour.
