Stevie's ad libs
 

Someone in the red rocks thread mentioned the singing it to ya's and I started thinking about all the crazy ad libs stevie has done over the years. Sorry if this has been brought up before, but Tuesday night (or was it Wednesday?)

Stevie kept singing, "Deep in the middle of the night I still think about you" during Edge. I thought that one was great. Anyone remember any other vegas ad libs?

I can't think of any now but I freakin' love her ad libs! She threw in some during Saturday's show but it's all such a blur. That show nearly killed me!

at the end of GDW:

I can't believe I forgot that one already. That one was amazing. It would have been cooler if she segued into Running through the Garden, but alas.

I love the RAL boot where she busts into "Heard It Through the Grapevine" during Edge of Seventeen. Cracks me up big time. Those were the days. *swoon*

TOTALLY!!! Forgot about that one too! My jaw dropped! :D

"Baby Baby Baby Baby Baby - you can't see me now" sung while hiding her face with her shawl covered hand in GDW at Sat. night's show.

"IIIIIII KNNOOOWWWW WWHHHAAATTTTTT IF SOUNDS LIKE - IT SOOUNNDDDSS LIIIKKEE YOU!" sung while pointing to the crowd - which is interesting if the sound is that of the white winged dove which she made into a metaphor for the sound the sould makes when it leaves the body perhaps not into death as before but maybe rebirth in the case of Vegas :shrug:

YES!!!!!!!!!!! I was trying to explain this to my hubby after the show, of course, he had no great appreciation for it but i thought it was soooo hot!

Wednesday's HSML- I swear that whole song was an ad-lib. Not all vocally, but she was in her own world for most of it. Like the audience wasn't even there. I don't know how well it will transfer to a bootleg though. I think you had to be in the first few rows to see what was going on.

I'm so glad you brought this up! This was one of the highlights for me on Saturday...when I heard those all those "Babies" at the end I thought I was gonna die. It was so freakin hot OMG!!

Ok one of my favorites has to be at the very end of Stand Back at the RAL Red Rocks show when she screams in her rocking, husky, Stevie voice "Well you could be standin in it" or something close to that. I melt when I hear it! Sometimes I rewind just to hear that part over and over lol.

She has done this line before & I LOVE it when she does! Awesome!

And Mariel - I believe Wed we did get several "silly"s too. :nod:
