Can someone tell me how to get from Port Authority to Night of 1000 Stevies?
I want to take the Greyhound from Philly to NYC, which will bring me to Port Authority...but then I don't know what to do after that. Also, will I be able to safely get from the club back to Port Authority after everything wraps up?

There has to be a city bus...
I just don't know what number it is because I'm not that familiar with the Village. You might find it here:
http://www.mta.nyc.ny.us/nyct/general/ You can also call NYC transit directly and they can tell you how to get there: (718) 330-1234 In all honesty, if you can afford it (at least coming home) I'd go for a cab. It's less confusion and probably safer than trying to find your way around the city at night. But, then again, you might make friends at NOTS who will accompany you? You never know. |
Hey TotheGypsy, I can help you out.
Once you're at Port Authority, take the A, C or E subway train (they all run on the same line, and leave directly from the bus terminal) to Canal Street. It's about 4-5 stops, depending on whether you catch the express train or the local. When you get out at Canal, walk four blocks south (on what I believe is Church Street) and turn left on Leonard Street. You'll know you're going south because you'll see the skyscrapers of Lower Manhattan ahead, in the near distance. The Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building (in midtown) will be behind you and farther away. The address is 74 Leonard St., and the club is on the south side of the street. You can't miss it. Hope that helps! |
Thanks for the help! Will that method work for getting back to Port Authority directly are the NOTS ends, or will the subway not be running at that time?

Hi tothegypsy! The subway will (barring any unforseen circumstances) be running all night and morning...no worries.
NoTS is going to be a blast this year! xxxMx and I are organizing a pre-NoTS get together at 7p.m. at a bar near to the Knit. You should join us if you get to NYC early! (see my "Night of a Thousand Stevies" post for details if you want to come). |
