Jim Ladd to get a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame. Will Stevie attend?

I was just over on Mick's board and a posted heard on KLOS that Jim Ladd was to get a star on Friday. Stevie Nicks, Tom Petty and Jackson Browne would be appearing but they never said anymore details. No info can be found. Does anyone know anything about this?

I think that David mentioned a while ago that Stevie might attend.

They seem to be incredibly good friends so i'm sure she would attend...even if she is rehearsing, she'll make the time. I haven't heard anything but if I happen upon any articles, i'll post em' here! Thanks for letting us know!

I think I know where Tiff will be come Friday... ;)

Friday May 6th at 11am Jim will get his star. The message is on the KLOS intro page.

Tiff, you might have to skip class.

Well, Stevie didn't show. Bummer! There was a good crowd there to see her too. Nor did Tom Petty, although he sent a note to be read in his absence. But Jackson Browne, whom I totally adore, was there, and I also got to meet Benmont Tench, which was pretty awesome. Other attendees included Woody Harrelson, some dudes from Styx, George Thorogood, and Ed Bagley Jr. Jim was really nice and stayed 'til all his fans got handshakes and autographs. Glad to see him finally honored this way -- his show is fantastic and he definitely deserves it. I uploaded a few pictures if anyone's interested.

Good to see Jim Ladd being rewarded with a star on the Walk of Fame mere days after Ryan Seacrest was.

No kidding. WTF? I'm curious about how they decide who to induct. Some of these choices I really wonder about.

I wonder if Stevie will ever get her own star.

I think , and I may be mistaken. but I think that the celeb themself pays for it. Friends or people in the industry nominate them, but I think pretty much anyone in music, film, TV or theatre can get one. No real criteria, as far as I'm aware. Again, I may be wrong.

Well, I am sorry that Stevie was not there but your photos are fantastic! These must be with that new camera. I love that one of Jackson Browne that you posted! Thanks for sharing. :)

Thanks Pattie!

I was checking out the link Paula posted about nominations. It's sorta cool that a fan can nominate someone. Only, I don't have $15,000 to sponsor the star. Sorry Stevie!
