Hello, I organize concerts for a living and I am holding a benefit concert to help out the Woonsocket High School Spanish department. If you live in the area and have nothing to do on this night. I garantee it will be something to remember.
This is a concert for those of you who like the Beatles, Eagles, Nine Inch Nails, Michelle Branch, Alanis Morissette and are just a fan of music. Well, you know what. I would have checked it out. I always wanted to check that church out because they have a lot of interesting functions but I will be in Vegas seeing Stevie on that date.
Good luck with the show, anyway. |
I am jealous, but if you know anyone who you could tell. The I am trying to spread the word as much as possible. These bands are truly great and these students really need the money. The school is threatening to get rid of the class due to lack of funding and won't back their field trip because their is only 6 students in the class. It has been an up hill battle to get this far. This is their biggest fundraiser event and their goal is to raise 5,000 by July. So far they have close to one and this concert will hopefully raise at least another.
One of the band members used to work for MTV and he currently films the X-Games for ABC Sports. His dad created GI Joe and he will be recording the show for a DVD and CD for the bands to have and everyone involved as well as to sell. So, even if you can't go take this information and send it to anyone who you think might be interested in helping these students out or would like to come to the concert. If this concert goes well it could mean a lot for this area as far as local music. I am having people come that might make this event into a tour to help schools raise money. |
