Some conflicting info (or they just don't know)....

RUMORS

Hi Keith,

I'm excited about Stevie Nicks' Las Vegas extravaganza in May and combo tour with Don Henley this summer. Rumor has it that a new Nicks best-of CD and VH1 "Storytellers" DVD are in the works for June 7. Can you confirm this?

Daniel Matsumoto

Hello Daniel,

Stevie Nicks will mount a special four-night Las Vegas concert event at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace May 10, 11, 13 and 14. In a recent radio interview with KLOS Los Angeles, the singer said her team is working hard to create a set that will be able to fill the very large stage, and she intends to dig out old costumes for the show. She plans on performing all of her hits, as well as many chestnuts that are fan favorites.

During last month's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, Nicks wouldn't comment to Billboard.com about the reported tour with Don Henley later this year. "I can't talk about that because I'm not sure," she said. "I really don't know."

For what it's worth, during the KLOS interview, Nicks said that they were then auditioning for a drummer that would be with her for the rest of the year.

Nicks' record label, Reprise, has not announced any plans for upcoming releases. Nor have Rhino or Warner Strategic Marketing -- Warner Music's specialty release divisions.

I swear, if she comes out with yet ANOTHER "greatest hits" CD, instead of a new release... :distress:

Billboard, Huh? I doubt they know anything. They just said everything that we already knew. A coworker had a book from Billboard that had Lindsey's DOB incorrect so I don't have much faith in their info.

I too wish she were in the studio working on a new CD. Who knows? maybe she was dropped by reprise (didnt they just do a big roster -cut?) or perhaps she just doesnt have the same label enthusiasm & support and feels they wouldn't really get behind a new recording the same way they did with TISL when she was still riding the comback success of the Dance.

I also fear that if this new "Best of" sees the light, this is probably what Stevie was hinting about earlier this year when a fan asked her on the Nicksfix's "Ask Stevie" forum where she mentioned something was in the works with reissuing her solo catalog. (She really needs to remaster all her solo cd's esp. the first four, and include all those fab outtakes!)

Although I would rather have a new solo CD, I do feel that Stevie does need a more difinitive "Best of" collection and update to Timespace. If Stevie and Rhino are smart they will dig up some gems from the vault ala "reconsider me" and alternate takes and include them for us crazy fans.

Re-issues are one thing, a greatest hits package is another.. I wouldn't mind re-issues of BD, TWH, and RAL.. because all three do desperately need to be remastered... i'm getting tired of remastering them myself ;)

I'm sure Chris Nicks will whip something up in Windows 95 Photo Shop.

Oy, don't joke about such things, you ass. I'm blind enough, I don't need my sight to worsen any more than it already has by looking at her Reeblechs.

Oh, stop.... After all, Street Angel did win the 1994 Grammy award for Best Recording Package, beating out the favorite to win, Time and Chance by Color Me Badd.

You just have sour grapes.

You forgot the new song I broke the news about weeks ago:
"Welsh Beotch," featuring Nelly and L'il Kim, with Master P. and L'il Romeo, guest-starring Snopp Dogg & L'il Bow-Wow, and written by Fiddy & Diddy.

The latest news is that the remix will also feature Foxxy Brown and L'il Jon.

Oh, and we have conflicting info on the title. I heard it was going to be called, 'Space/Time Continuum: The Second Best Of Stevie Nicks.'
