German model Heidi Klum and singer Seal to marry

BERLIN (AFP) - German supermodel Heidi Klum and British-born singer Seal are set to marry this summer, he told German newspaper Bild.

"We will marry before the birth of our child," Seal, 42, told Wednesday's edition.

Klum, 31, is five months pregnant with her second child.

The first, a daughter called Leni, was born last May after a relationship with Renault Formula One team boss Flavio Briatore.

Seal, who begins the German leg of his tour this week, also revealed he is struggling to learn German.

"It's really difficult. I am learning slowly," he said.

Seal's first chart success came in April 1990 when he added the vocals for the dance hit "Killer".

His solo career has produced international hits including "Crazy", "Future Love Paradise" and "Kiss from a Rose".

His face freaks me out. Why the hell would someone scar their own face? She sure is marrying a loon, but hey, whatever floats her boat.

I always thought his scars were from lupus. Is that just an urban legend?

whoa. I never knew the origins of scarring...I need the story now though- I just assumed it was how he is...:shrug:

Might be, but I've read it a couple of times. If he did scar himself, he's weird. :laugh:

They not the result of ritual scarification, being bitten on the face by a wolf, getting punched while wearing glasses, or being involved in a motorcycle accident (And they are some of the less bizarre reasons proffered!)

In light of the Michael Douglas cosmetic surgery fiasco in another thread, I wonder why doesn't/didn't Seal have surgery to correct the scarring?

With scarring that deep, could they really do anything to fix it?

Seal was homeless before being signed and hitting big, wasn't he? I mean, he was always poor, and I imagine a part of him never doing anything about them was that he didn't want to undergo that kind of surgery once he was already in the public eye? I dunno.

I thought he actually claimed they "appeared" as in over night. I don't think he had them yet when he first became famous. This marriage is some bizarre pairing.

Edit: Oh I see, he had Lupus as a teen. I guess he still has it but it is in remission. I just thought that at one time I read/heard that he claimed they were of a supernatural source and have thought him extremely odd ever since. Maybe that never happened? :shrug:

If they "appeared" overnight, it may be because earlier pictures were digitally enhanced to remove them. Dark skin like that may react adversely to treatments, leaving him with weird lighter patches...I am no dermatologist tho

I heard he got stabbed when he was little or soemtihng like that
