Fleetwood Mac and Sanctuary

"Sanctuary, the world's largest independent record company, has found recent success with the resurgence of former Smiths front man Morrissey, whose latest album went platinum. It also handles Beyonce, Manic Street Preachers and Fleetwood Mac."

When did FM go to Sanctuary?? The article is related to the management arm, however, I'm wondering if Reprise ditched 'em to Sanctuary's label???

Peter Green era releases, I believe.

There are a few people in or near the Fleetwood Mac camp that are either part of Sanctuary or associated with it in some way...

Carl Stubner (isn't he Micks Manager), currently Co-President, Sanctuary Artist Management North America, will expand his responsibility becoming CEO, Sanctuary Artist Management North America. He joined Sanctuary in 2003. He will remain based in Los Angeles.

Commenting on the appointment, Taylor stated:: “Sanctuary’s success has been based on a strategic combination of creative and commercial skills. In the past, Rod Smallwood (his brother or son or something like that is with Mick in The Mick Fleetwood Band), my co-founder, managed the creative aspects of the company whilst I looked after the commercial and financial aspects. With Merck’s appointment, we are continuing that successful process.

I think I saw on Amazon.com or Bestbuy.com that The Destiny Rules DVD was issued by Sanctuary.

It makes sense to me that the Mac may move to Sanctuary. I think the Mac fulfilled its two album deal with Reprise with "Live In Boston," so they may be looking for a label, and Sanctuary would be a good fit. The "Show Biz Blues" collection was released on Sanctuary, Christine's recent album was on Sanctuary in the U.K., as was the above mentioned "Destiny Rules."

Well, I think it may be true that they have signed with Sanctuary. Christine is already there and I read somewhere that Neil Young is also now at Sanctuary (after releasing his latest Greatest Hits album as a kiss-off to Reprise). And even Robert Plant is releasing his new Mighty Rearranger album for Sanctuary this May.

So, it seems very likely to me!

Ironic that its called 'Sanctuary' with all these artists running to it!
