IMAN'S NAME CONFUSION

Supermodel IMAN attacked a British TV presenter - because she thought he was mocking her name.

EAMONN HOLMES, host of the ITV network's morning show GM:TV, was left in state of shock when DAVID BOWIE's wife started slapping him and screaming her name almost as soon as they met.

He says, "This nine foot creature walked in and I went and shook her hand, saying, 'Hello. Eamonn. How are you doing?' She replied, 'Iman.' I said, 'Hello... Eamonn.' She screamed, 'Iman!'

"She started hitting me and slapping me, yelling, 'I'm Iman.' I said, 'I know who you are - I'm just trying to tell you, I'm Eamonn!' She thought I was pronouncing her name wrongly."

As I recall, this isn't a first for her, is it? She's a bit off...and by bit, I mean completely and totally out in left field.

Sounds like something Naomi Campbell would do.

Her book "I Am Iman" is a ****ing riot. Highly recommended.

It most definitely is. I have it in hardcover. She's quite a character. And phenomenally beautiful.

And apparently she takes the whole "I AM IMAN!" thing pretty seriously... :shocked: :laugh:

I actually like Iman. She is gorgeous, and she and David make a wacky, but wonderful pair. :)

So did David Bowie and Mick Jagger... "Dancing in the Street" anyone? :laugh:

I remember that one! Bowie standing there with his hands in his pockets and Jagger strutting and contorting every which way as if his arms and legs were connected to electrodes and he was being shocked by remote control. Didn't it also have this part where they do this slo-mo leap in the air?

I have a couple of Black Adder tapes. Too funny!

I guess to kiss Michael Jackson can cause unpredictable effects. ;)
