Positive Summer Tour Thread
 

Yeah I know I was cracking jokes about the name of the tour, Return to Rehab, 7 Abortions tour etc....

But im EXCITED about this show damnit!!!! Most people who are bitching about her touring, would be bitching if she wasn't touring. Lets see who will really be bitching the most in a couple years when shes too old to walk across the stage. Stevie loves performing live. Its like telling an airplane pilot you cant fly your plane again for 2 years, you need to stay at home and rest. Her being tired, PLEASE!!!! She barley shows up for a 20 minute sound check if that, sometimes she even skips that. Then she performs on stage for what 60-90 minutes 4 or maybe 5 times a week. The rest of the time shes sitting on her ass resting. This sounds like a comfy tour to me. No heavy promotion. Shes just gonna to the show sing, get back in the limo and go back to the hotel.

I really hope they do 1 set together. Something like Boys Of Summer, following Dreams, Dirty Laundry following Stand Back sounds ROCKING TO ME!!!!


P.S. Ok yeah i was trying to start a positive happy shes out on the road this summer thread. But i do agree that high tickets prices are fuucked up, and that Donny charges too much.

I always wondered if it was Stevie Don was singing about in this song "lines on the mirror, lines on her face".

Maybe not bc Don sings they didnt have much in common, which isnt the case at all.

To the Stevie should stay off the road and record a new album complaint: Oh please, this is what 3 months out of her schedule. Its not like the damn new record was going to come out anytime soon. She has released 2 original solo albums in what 11 years. 3 months is not going to make a damn difference lol. Its not like she cant work on the album on the road when she feels like it.

I for one cannot wait to see this show! It will be exciting! I love stevie and I like don. Whats not to like? I hope they do leather and lace (givin) and Highwayman!!!!!!!!!! :eek: Would be flucking awesome! :D :D :D :D

I have to agree. As much as I want to hear a new CD, I think this show has HUGE potential!!!

I'll join your positive thread! I would love to see Stevie again, details don't really matter much to me. :blob1:

I've never gotten to see Stevie live before, so even though I'm not a huge fan of Don Henley, I'm dying for this tour!!!

Yeah, as much as I'm less enthused to see her sharing the stage with anyone but Lindsey, I tihnk this tour will be magic. I'll be at more than one show, without question. I see lots of travel ahead of me this summer.... Boys of Summer as a duet? Leather and Lace live (which I've never seen..). Yeah, I'll be there - front row, I hope...

Lindsey or Tom Petty...Otherwise I will probably pass on this tour since I will have the bootlegs of the shows anyways :nod:

But I will keep this 'positive' and say at least she is touring :nod:
