Diva Remixes..Truth

As you all know...I am the Jeremy that does the Stevie/FM Remixes and can someone HONESTLY tell me where the DIVA Remixes originated? I was on this old mp3 list and I trusted everyone there with my remixes. Yes they are just a hobby of mine but they are hard work and when they were taken away from me and stripped of my name it made me very MAD. I think I might know who it is...someone on that old mp3 list, but I really want to know where that set came from. Who made it. Who stole my SH** from me. LOL Someone tell me please...I just want closure. Now I know how Stevie feels...her demos being taken...lol:confused: You can even send me a private message with any info and I promise it will not be broadcasted where the info came from. I probably wont even do anything because they arent copyrighted I just need peace of mind so that I will know who not to trust anymore. Not that I trust anyone from those days anyway.

I didn't know you were the Jeremy who did the remixes! I have a "Thrown Down" remix by you that I like on a CD. I hope I didn't obtain it in a way that I wasn't supposed to! I'm pretty sure I got it off of the Stevie Nicks Info site. It said that it was yours, though it didn't have your last name or anything. Well, sorry that I can't help you figure out who took them. I just wanted to point out that I'd heard one of them and I didn't realize you were the same Jeremy. :)

I wouldn't sweat it. Anything that goes out eventually makes the rounds. I guess the only way to keep them from doing that is to not share them.

Oh no lol...when I post remixes on my site I just ask nicely for whoever posts them in the future on different sites to keep my name as part of the description...it is just respectful. I have no problem with anyone having them or posting them or even trading them as long as my name and titles of the remixes stays with the song...I make them for everyone to enjoy but I guess that is the price you pay when you don't copyright. You would think people would be nice enough to give the proper people credit when they decide to trade or post someone else's material. I am thrilled that Stevie Nicks Info posted my Thrown Down. I am actually quite flattered! :D

Oh, okay, cool! When I wrote the post, I thought, Whoops! I hope he doesn't get mad, 'cause I might've done something wrong; I'm not even sure! I'm glad it was okay. I'm guessing that's you saying "This is Jeremy's remix of 'Thrown Down'" at the beginning?

Diva Remixes
Planets Of The Universe (Illicit Club Mix), Sara (Danny Morris Club Mix), Storms (Confident Dance Mix), Everyday (Jeremy's Remix), I Can't Wait (Jeremy's Remix), Rooms On Fire (Killer Remix), Love Changes (Electronica Mix), Edge Of Seventeen (Ill Versed Remix), Planets Of The Universe (Tracey Young Universe Mix), Candlebright (Candles And Incense Mix), Landslide (Scott's Extended Remix), I Miss You (Superstar Remix), Kind Of Woman (Mosquito Emphysema Remix), Music Of The Universe (Stevie vs. Madonna), Sorcerer (Sheryl Crow Edit)

Ok....Storms is mine, Everyday is mine, I Can't Wait is mine, Rooms On Fire is mine, Love Changes is mine...BUT they took "Jeremy's Remix" off of Storms, Rooms On Fire, and Love Changes...but left them on the CRAPIEST remixes I ever did (ALL of them are bad IMO..early years of remixing)...and changed the names to like "Confident Dance Mix"?? WTF I never called it that...and "Electronica Mix"?? Never called it that either..and Killer Remix...ok it was Jeremy's Killer Remix...I got that list from Thrown Down but the original source listed set for that is exactly the same as the above. I guess what I am trying to say with all of this is...ask permission before you do something like that. It is very offensive....many days and nights I worked on those and the ones I do now..the reason they sound so much better...weeks and weeks of work on the newer ones (Thrown Down, 24 Karat Gold, Think About It)...if you all wrote a book of poetry and copied it for a friend to read then you find out that half of the city has it without your permission and without your name on it..how would you feel?

If you don't want something circulated, then don't share it. Even the best of friends tell secrets. And I dunno why you just automatically think someone on the Ledge knows who it is?

No..I was hoping someone would know where the source set came from. Not automatically thinking someone here knows...I figured I would ask since the majority of the old/still active mp3 list is on here..maybe someone would be honest and tell me. It isnt about assumptions..it is a matter of hope. I made the remixes by request for the list and didnt think anything of it. But the point is...If I wanted to trade something that belonged to someone else I would have asked first. I would/still do that. So if no one knows...which I know no one will speak up...then please if you have the set..just know that I made those remixes and in the future..rename them to their rightful titles.

Yeah, I agree with Curtis in that the stealing is inevitable. I don't blame you for being mad about it, though.

Yeah..I just hope that person doesnt do it to anyone else. It was my mistake trusting certain people and I guess I got taken advantage of...and not in the good way  LOL

I had no idea that slapping on some drum loops to copyrighted album tracks makes someone infamous.

Um read threads before you make comments like that. People have asked me in the last few days if I am that Jeremy. Read Up. Slapping drum loops isnt all you do unfortunately. You have to split the song up into timed 8 counts so that they match up with every loop you add (Takes about 30 mins if you are good at it). THEN you pick out your loops and instruments to add...going through massive archives of loops to find the "right ones"...THEN you have to line them all up on the mixing board...then you have to listen to to it see if it sounds right...and then you can never be happy with it so you spend hours and days trying to perfect it.... The old remixes I did were just drum loops over the songs. Now with the new ones I have done..I have taken acapellas from the master reels and have created my own music to them in tune with the song. Need I say this..MUCH HARDER WORK. The splitting into 8 counts is rather hard without a beat behind the vocal so you have to time it just right in order for it to work. Also, you have to have an ear to hear if it is in tune with everything that is behind it. I never said it made me infamous. That was your add on. Obviously a LOT of people have my remixes now considering throwndown.net had the WHOLE diva remixes set posted for everyone and their brother to download (Thank you David that was awesome of you..I lost those diva remixes in a hard drive crash and I was finally able to get them back when you posted them!) Yes they may be copyrighted album tracks but I dont get any profit from them at all. I do not sell my remixes or anything Stevie/FM related so that copyrighted comment goes unreguarded by me. I have a love for music...Mixing is my hobby as you can tell from listening to those old diva remixes to my newer ones I have gotten a lot better. A LOT! I do not believe in selling material that isnt mine. Yes I may have remixed it but as you see on Stevie Nicks Info...the (Unofficial) next to my Thrown Down Remix ...yes that is exactly it..unofficial. You are trying to make it sound like I have a big head when I dont. Maybe you just like to try to make people feel like they are the size of a pea because you get some satisfaction out of doing so. Who knows? We all have our problems but I dont blast people publicly. It is hard work to do the remixes. Sorry if I seem uptight or mean but you are criticizing my hard work here by saying "Oh its just drum loops slapped onto blah blah blah" Try making one. Then tell me it is just slapping drum loops onto copyrighted album tracks. I am not here to start any arguments or fights. What I said in my first post was very clear and simple...and to those who read it wrong or had to email other people to say "Omg guess what he is up to now" sorry but that is the way I decided to post this. If you dont like it..move to the next thread. Good day.
