Irresponsible Pet Owners
Sorry all... just have to vent:
I just spent the last hour and a half trying to find my two cats. It's pitch black, freezing cold, and pouring down rain right now. I am a soaking wet and will probably end up catching the flu (again). I can't convince my family to keep my cats indoors, but I make a point of keeping the cats confined at night. They're normally really good about coming when I call them, only tonight it's different. Why? My neighbor's cat is in heat. Those stupid irresponsible f*cks got this kitten and didn't bother to have her fixed. Now she's in heat and has chosen MY YARD to advertise her current state. So now not only is she in my yard, but at least half a dozen toms that I've never seen before are there as well. And my poor kitties? My poor little can't fight-for-sh*t eunuch kitties? I can only assume that they had taken cover somewhere to protect themselves from the weather and from the over-zealous horny and ready to fight toms. I finally managed to chase off the female and coax my two babies to come inside, but I know she's back because I can hear her outside my window. If only I was working right now. If I could afford it I'd trap her, my cat or not, and get her spayed like her worthless owners should have done months ago! So now there's gonna be another unneeded and unwanted litter of kittens in the world, and god only knows what sorts of lovely diseases those toms were carrying and passing on to each other, to the female, and to the future litter. Lovely things like leukemia and FIV (the feline equivalent to HIV). Just wonderful.   |
My cats are all...
indoor cats, the only one who gets to go outside is the "King shizzle fa-nizzle mack daddy bling-bling wearing pop-a-claw-in yer ass Ace" but that's only when I let him out onto the porch and he is 100.00000000% supervised & he is never outside for more than 5 minutes.
In 3 months Patches (aka "the Crack ho Calico") is getting "fixed" and so are her asshat kittens...They can join the eunuch league with the "Original Gangster Ace" & "the white freak-chuck formerly known as Shioban" (Well Shioban is spayed so she isnt a eunuch, but ya get the message). |

These stupid neighbors drive me insane. They used to have rabbits that were constantly getting loose and roaming the neighborhood. Then they decided to get a dog - and not just any dog. They got a beagle - a breed of dog that is bred for hunting rabbits. Needless to say, they don't have rabbits anymore because the dog killed them. And now its the dog that is forever getting loose and roaming the street and he's mean. I hate that thing. If you just look at him he'll bristle his coat and snarl at you. And soon they'll have not just the dog and the cat, but her kittens as well. UGH. I just might trap that cat and spay her anyway. I've haven't quite maxed out my credit cards yet. I have enough credit to cover the surgery. Some people just shouldn't be allowed to have pets at all. :distress: |
:(
My lovely booboo ( RIP) was an outdoor cat because my dad made her one when we got her in 1985. My dad passed and we moved to a nice little town. She was the queen of the streets and there was no keeping her in... UNTIL one day she was chased by two big dogs and her ligament was torn. At first the vet said it was broken and they needed to put her down..but after x rays they found she had just torn a ligament. She was fine but she was NOT allowed out. Until the day she died at 20 ( 1/31/05) she wanted to go out...but I think she understood why I kept her in and she became less frantic about it. I felt mean but it was safer for her, esp in her old age. Now , any cat I will get will remain indoors. Unless you live in a farm, it's just too dangerous out there...cars, other cats, racoons, dogs... |
Ugh - irresponsible pet owners irk me as well....sorry for your kitties though - poor things.
My ex-boyfriend has neighbors like that - they got a couple of cats and then never bothered to fix them or take care of them at all - they roamed the neighborhood all the time and then chose my ex bf's yard as their litter box - it was SO annoying... Also there were a lot of people around my hometown who'd get these big old rottweilers or pitbulls and then purposely make them all mean - lots of abused animal where I come from - it was so sad and I think owning a pet should require more than it does  |
