Stevie's #79 in The Top 99 Most Desirable Women. You go girl!

Anyone read Askmen.com?
I don't, but somehow I ran across this.
Stevie's still considered a hottie by a lot of men out there.
You go girl! http://www.askmen.com/women/singer_1...vie_nicks.html

yeah. Pretty Cool. She shoulda got, like, at least number 7, though. Ok, really, number 3, but i'm trying to account for my bias.

I'm shocked anyone over 40, nevermind over 50, is on such a list. It gives all us middle aged gals some hope.
Of course, none of us are Stevie Nicks!

ricohv 02-13-2005 10:04 AM

I would hope for something higher than 79, but (and this is a mighty big but  ) Madonna comes in at ...84!

dissention 02-13-2005 10:49 AM

You guys are reading that completely wrong.

They take Personality and Talent, Sexiness, Accomplishments and Fame, Natural Beauty, and Personal Style, rate them, then average them together and come out with a score. Stevie's is 79. Therefore, Madonna is rated higher than Stevie at 84. Stevie is not on the top 99 list at all.

Burst my bubble! Well, she is still in the same league as Madonna!

And if you follow in the footsteps of Ann Margaret, Tina Turner, and Raquel Welch to name a few, you shouldn't have anything to worry about either. I think they're all still very attractive women.

The amount of plastic incorporated into Raquel Welch's face and body is enough to make Cher blush.

This was my favorite section. It's hilarious.

personality & talent

Confucius says, "The essence of knowledge is, having it, to apply it; not having it, to confess your ignorance." Stevie Nicks says, "You can ride high atop your pony/ I know you won't fall/ 'cause the whole thing's phoney/ You can fly swingin' from your trapeze/ Scaring all the people/ but you never scare me." I guess we can see why Confucius never had a record deal -- no sense of rhythm and pretty dreary subject matter.

My personal favorite was that ultra-matronly photo and this passage:

"Twenty or so years ago, we would have given ol' Stevie a big ol' 100. But while living on earth, the constant effects of oxygen cause the human skin to age in a most telling way. This may be nature's way of telling potential mates that this woman has had a good run, but may not be the best choice. The readers' panel does pride itself on thinking outside of the box, but we're certainly not one to go against nature."

She's nothing special to me, but if she does it for some people, more power to them.

Well, I said I don't read it. :woohoo: I just ran across that page while surfing for something else. I guess I should have read the entire thing but I don't really care what men think of Stevie. I just thought it incredible she'd be talked about at all in those terms these days, considering our youth driven culture. Just goes to prove if it sounds beyond belief it probably is.

You're welcome. :xoxo: It figures the first time I start a thread that's not complaining about something or posting critical of Stevie it turns out to be a mistake.
