So in I Love The 90s Part Deux: 1998, they talk about Behind The Music. When one of the commentators starts summing up how they always end and says, "...or they get sober," there's an incredibly short clip of Stevie in the Every Day video. :)

mmmmm, tiny Stevie sighting...*drool*
the nineties sucked, so....wow, i bet there's a lot of the "they got sober" things on "I love the nineties"...

Yes, and because of No Doubt. That's it. Oh, and the booming high tech clinton economy... :D
sorry, i just didn't love nineties culture that much. But i'm older than you.
I mean, I, myself, had fun in the nineties because i was...16-26 years of age. Had great fun in Chico partying, but...I really didn't like grunge at all. Although i enjoyed the neo hippie environmental movement...My friends did protests at our HS, and went to Nuclear protests in Nevada...that was cool..

I'm a 90s fan. I think because I can remember most of it (not so much the first 2 years, born in 1987 etc).

yeah, I think that's an age thing. I like garbage ok, and of course Blondie was cool. My so called life was good...Buffy? couldn't care less... Spice girls? Liked it, but was too old (23) to get really, really involved. I remember I was stoked with the first video, cause that one girl was actually dancing! In her cute green tank top... Yes, i'll tell you what i want, what i really, really, want... :p

Oh yeah--and No Doubt. But, like Greg, I was into some of the things of the time that most people would consider lame because of my age. I was totally into the Spice Girls, and Britney, Christina, and Mandy. And even the Backstreet Boys to some extent. Some of those things I generally don't admit, though.

By the way, Greg, do you know the relatively rare Spice Girls song, "Take Me Home"? Probably my fave. It's on the B-side of the "Say You'll Be There" single.

I'm such a nerd. -_-

Cool. Good to know I'm not the only one who digs "Take Me Home." I have to say I don't know the other B-sides you mentioned, though, and I guess it's because I only got the singles and imports that went with the Spice and Spiceworld albums. I'm guessing the ones you mentioned came later. I do know "Viva Forever" from the Spiceworld album, though. I think I still like "Take Me Home" more than all the songs that wound up being picked for the albums, though. I wonder why that one wasn't picked.

It's embarrassing to talk about this stuff and know that other people can read it!

Great pick! It's a favorite of mine, too. <3 Stop is my ultimate, though. Too Much kicks ass as well.

"Stop" is really catchy, yeah. And "Too Much" is one of those ballads that never really gets old or boring. It's just really groovy. For some reason, that's the word that comes to mind. Before I sold all my Spice Girls CDs I made one CD of my favorite ones 'cause I knew I'd want to get it out every once in awhile. I was just looking at it and I have to say I was a big fan of "Who Do You Think You Are," and, I must say, "Wannabe" as well.

I couldn't stand much of the eighties, but the nineties weren't bad:

Cinema:
great movies with Anthony Hopkins like SOTL, The Remains Of The Day, Nixon, and other gems like Vive L'Amour, Chungking Express, Close-Up, Secrets And Lies, Goodfellas, Eat Drink Man Woman, Nelly et Mr. Arnaud, Caro Diario, Red, Smoking-No Smoking, Good Men, Good Women, Naked, Glengarry Glen Ross, Fargo, Unforgiven

Music:
Cranberries, Radiohead, Blur, Erikah Badu, Stereophonics, Pearl Jam, Bjork, Fugees, Red Hot and Blue: A Tribute to Cole Porter album
