I thought I would never do this...
I bought a pirate (mac) dvd,
I always buy originals, specially if it's Fleetwood Mac. But after reading those comments about the Tango DVD, that has nothing aditional from the vhs edition, I thought it wasn't worth it to buy it. No titles, no bonus material, no dts, etc... But then I was at this galleries in downtown, where you can find pirate merchandise.. and I saw the Tango dvd. 5 soles (less than US$2). So I bought it. And yes, nothing special from it. It's the same as the vhs edition. |

No real worries! I probably would of done the same thing! I dont have that DvD yet. All I have is a pirated vhS copy that I spent 15 bucks on about 8 years ago! LOL And its bad! Time for an upgrade! |
Hey!
How dare you take money from Fleetwood Mac! You KNOW Lindsey needs cash for those kids to eat! Stevie needs more chiffon, you thief!! John is getting another boat, and Mick has GOT to have that 5th Ferrari.
This is digusting. |
I've never even watched the whole concert in its entirety. The performance itself is not bad (though certainly not great)... the real problem is it's all so airbrushed and "produced." It doesn't feel real.

I think us Ledgies alone have paid for three houses, four college educations, and braces for every Fleetwood and Buckingham kid. |

I'm very sorry. I guess Stevie will go back to her waitress days... |

I have two bootleg Mac DVDs - Mirage DVD and Stevie US Festival. And yes, if they had released these themselves, I would have bought it from them. I'm still contemplating getting the Bella Donna show on DVD, now that I see them around quite a bit and the price has come down a little. Now, who do I/we have to shag to get official DVDs for all the Mac stuff we're missing?  |

I've bought the Brazilian Mirage.....if Mick would get this stuff available for us to give him money (are you listening Mick? ), I would gladly part with money to back Mick's next get rich quick scheme. |

Heck, look at how many people have spent a pretty sum to buy bootleg DVDs through eBay! If someone is willing to spend 40 bucks (or more) on something of questionable quality, surely they'd be willing to part with 20 bucks for an official DVD. But all of this video material sits, deteriorating, in vaults somewhere. :distress: |
I'd be a bit weary buying Mirage Tour unless I know what I'm getting for sure.
I happen to know it's supposed to be in stereo, and I would hope the bootlegger knows that too. ;) (I've heard multiple audio rips from that video and some are stereo, and some are not) |
For an xmas gift I got a 1992 magazine off Ebay w/ a fantastic interview w/ John, and this part in particular made me drool w/ the knowledge of what *might* have been-- he said:
"Talking about future projects, there will be an inter-reactive CD-ROM which we're putting together. Basically it's a CD which you insert in your IBM player on an Apple Mac, and you have 80 tracks plus all the videos. And being reactive you can pick up a track, put the mouse on it, access "Personnel", click again on say, Stevie, and get the history of Stevie, pictures of Stevie, Stevie's videos by themselves-- as much information as that CD will hold. We're trying to package that with Sony, using our anthology as the first example of the technology. The package comprises a CD player, our anthology, and the software to run it, whereas before you needed all sorts of hardware to run videos on computer. You just load it as you would a program, stick it on your power drive and that's it-- full video capability." oh it depresses me that they had tossed around that idea all those years ago!!! yet still...nothing. So why can't they now do all that same stuff but obviously in the simpler format of a DVD? Why in 1992 did they think the market would be there for it, but no one seems to give a hoot about that now? -Lis |
