Just weird coincidences

Two odd things..

1. My mother called me today, as she does every Friday, and the first thing out of her mouth after I pick up the phone is, "Does Stevie's dad have a Ph. D?" I was like what the &%#$....? Anyway--My father works for a medical diagnostic company, doing cardiac testing, that sort of thing-- and apparently they have recently begun doing some sort of business w/ the Arizona Heart Institute, which Stevie's dad is the director of?? Is this true? I don't know all that much about Stevie. My dad was under the impression that Jess Nicks had a Ph. D but I've never heard this....I just thought he was a rich and successful businessman!

2. Marty has a good friend that lives in D.C, who happens to work with Lynn (Frankel) Fleetwood's sister. Lynn invited her sister and some friends to spend the holidays in Hawaii w/ her, Mick and the twins. Marty's friend found out about this connection in a weird way-- he went to his co-worker's house to pick something up, and commented on all the toys that were strewn about. (He found it odd, since the co-worker has no children.) She then told him, "Oh, those are Ruby and Tessa's toys," and proceeded to explain just who her sister was married to. So Marty's friend got quite a kick out of sharing that tidbit w/ me. :woohoo: He always tells me, "If you lived closer, I'd try and hook you guys up, you could be her friend." LOL yeah right.

Small world, eh?

Had a minute; just figured I'd share.

Stevie's dad is on the board of directors at Arizona Heart Institute but I don't think he has a PhD. If so, it's probably honorary. He's been a benefactor for them for many years. Stevie and the Mac have done fundraising for the Heart Institute since the 1970's.

I love the story about Mick. It's a small world isn't it? I used to email with a guy who says he built the wall around Mick's Hawaii property back in the 70's. I don't know if it's true but he seemed to know a lot about the place.

:wavey:

Cool stories! Thanks for sharing.
Yep, seeing as Stevie's dad was a business manager, I'm guessing he has an honorary doctorate (makes you wonder what discipline... management, perhaps?) if he has one at all, like Glitterfades says.
Awesome 'two degrees of separation' story with the kid's toys!

Cool stories!

Too bad none of the band has any Albertan connections. Hey, maybe I could try to find the hooker that Mick was with in Calgary when his wife called him as described in his book. LOL!

Only you two.... We already know it's a small world but I really think it's getting even smaller
