UNCONFIRMED: Senator Boxer Will Stand With Conyers On Jan 6

I am listening to Elton John's Funeral For A Friend live in Moscow 5/28/79 as I type this. It gets me a little misty.
I sure as hell hope this pans out for us folks. This evening in a town hall meeting at Faneuil Hall in Boston, David Lytel of ReDefeatbush (www.redefeatbush.com) announced to the crowd that Senator Barbara Boxer, D-California will stand with Representative John Conyers, D-Michigan and Representative Stepahnie Tubbs Jones, D-Ohio to contest Ohio's electoral votes on January 6.

This activity inside Congress must be met with a mobilization of public support or it will not succeed.

Please, everyone fax or email your congresscritters and ask them to stand with John Conyers on January 6!

A couple of my friends are at an all-night picket in Northampton tonight about the election certification and called me to tell me that. If it pans out, Boxer will have my undying respect forever.

Wished I could help...

But being that Oklahoma is now more Republican controlled than ever (The Democrats lost the control of the state House for the first time in 80+ years) I doubt it would help.

Good luck to y'all though, Since y'all know who I voted for

Oh, Barbara. I knew I spent a million hours phonebanking for you for good reason. I hope this is true.

Tubbs-Jones/Boxer may stand together

From the blog of Will Pitt
Tubbs-Jones/Boxer may stand
Re: Tubbs-Jones and Boxer

After a series of telephone calls, the aforementioned story regarding Tubbs-Jones and Boxer stands just about where you'd figure. Senator Boxer is definitely considering offering a challenge to the Electors. If she actually decides to do so, however, she won't break cover until Thursday. That is, frankly, wise. To do otherwise would be calling down the thunder on herself and her staffers.

I couldn't get anyone to go on the record to confirm Lytel's statement that Rep. Tubbs-Jones can get Boxer to stand up just by asking her to do so. At the end of things here, Lytel's claim last night (which I am told he has repeated to a number of other blogs) is just going to hang out there in space until it is proven true or false.

Running in circles is fun. Please return to gnawing.

I'm sending my fax right now but I'm not sure if it will go through on the company fax machine. Could you tell me how to e-mail a fax to Senator Kennedy?

Thanks, got that from his website. I just got a report out of the machine and it went through. Apparently a waste of time according to Diss. Hopefully EK will change his mind.
