Silver Girl?

I love that part - I think it is GREAT example of her ability to write and make a subtle cahnge that coveys huge differences. I also like the song AND I think the original with the flute sounded even better
|
sorry - WISYA, yes - Silver Girl? just can't. :distress:
|
Stevie wrote and sang it. So that means............
.......I Love It! I agree with J that keeping the flute would have made it much better. |

I agree. I can't hate a Stevie song because I love Stevie so much. Besides that, I think Silver Girl is OK. It is my least favorite song on SYW but I do love that end part. |
I like Silver Girl-it's no Sara or Storms but I like it
|
Meh, I don't mind it really Lux, I don't mind XMas either, I am here now in my bedroom typing this on my new laptop!

I don't hate it. In fact, I kinda like it. It's never, ever going to make my list of all-time favs or anything like that but I don't despise it or anything either.
|
I really Love Silver Girl. It's far superior to When I See You Again. I think all 9 of Stevie's SYW songs are freaking gems, And I believe the flute is till in Silver Girl, just listen carefully.

You can hear that version of Silver Girl on the Destiny Rules doc when Stevie and LB play her cd of four new demos. Stevie is at the console when it starts and she says "this is Silver Girl and its about Sheryl"..then she turns and plays air flute for John and Mick.

I agree. It's there, just not loud enough. |
The only thing I dislike about Silver Girl is that is was written about Sheryl. I love the chorus and the insane far beyond her years line.
|
It's grown on me, and the chorus is great. Hope the version with the flute will emerge sooner or later.

It's grown on me too, musically. I especially like the end ("You cannot see her soul"); Mick does some exciting drumming in that part that gives it a little kick.
However, the lyrics are some of her worst ever. They're simply rotten. :sorry: |
