I need someone's help. There is a very famous classical music piece that the beginning of EOTW (the buh buh buh part)is based on....i thought it was Vivaldi's Four Seasons but it's not.

Anyone???

Where did you read that? I haven't read that about EOTW, neither in Mick's book, nor Bob's, or any magazine I have read. Interesting.

I wouldn't be surprised. For example, "Could it be magic" (sang by Barry Manilow and Donna Summer) was based in a Choping melody. Well, there are lot of examples.

But I've never heard the buh buh buh part in a classical piece.

it's Chopin. not Choping (a typo error, fortunately I didn't write Shopping)

EDIT: I stand corrected...it certainly IS "D major", not "minor".

EDIT: Turns out it is indeed D major.

I noticed that the bass line progressed the same way as Canon in D, but did the treble come from somewhere? The first thing I thought when I heard EOTW for the first time was "haven't I heard this before?" but I have no earthly idea where. :confused:

Kortni - It might be similar simply because its the same chords but just arpeggiated. But I know what you mean... there's something familiar about it.

Actually the first thing that popped into my mind is the guitar track titled "Stephanie" from the Buckingham/Nicks record. EOTW is alarmingly similar to that riff.

You're absolutely right. The song is a combination of Pachelbel's Canon and Stephanie.

Someone needs to do a mix of the two actual pieces.
