Isnt the Live In Boston DVD copyright protected?
 

I thought the LIB DVD was copy-right protected like all other newer officially released DVD's, But as to humor myself I put disc 1 in my DVD-R burner and to my surprise there's no copyright protection!

Man, Someone screwed that up bigtime...

I made myself a VHS copy, so I could pop it in at night when I'm in bed and not have to worry about getting my lazy bum back out of bed to take the DVD out of the player. :o

Plus, it's nice to have the ENTIRE concert all in one place, rather than two separate discs.
Would be even better having a DVD-R of both halves together... smart idea, Brian!

as a fluke, But once my burner did not detect any copyright protection I burnt the whole thing onto one single 4.7 GB DVD-R.

So now it will be easier to watch the whole show when I feel like it instead of having to change the discs halfway through the show.

It's no fluke, Warner Brothers doesn't copy protect their DVDs. :eek: They haven't for over a year. Back in '02, they released Harry Potter without Macrovision because they figured that big titles like that would sell no matter what and if people wanted a pirated copy, they'd just download it anyway. Eventually, they just decided to can Macrovision because they had to pay them a royalty of five cents for every disc sold. So, next time you rent something that's a Warners title, make a copy for yourself. :laugh:

Edited To Add: MGM, Anchor Bay, and Columbia Tristar (Sony) don't copy protect either.

I know if I want something, I don't have a problem buying it, yer I am a sucker for all the stealing propoganda, but seriously I don't have a problem paying for something I want.

I don't have a problem buying anything, either, but if I want something I know I'm going to end up buying but I can't at the moment, you can bet your ass that I'm going to make a copy until I can. ;)

Fair enough Diss...and just for the record I wasn't criticising anyone that does burn discs just that I personally don't do it...but I deffinitely see your point.
