Dire Straits' "Sultans of Swing"

Does anyone else notice that the chord progression of the chorus and outro solo of this song is the same as that of GYOW?

I wonder what it would sound like if the solos were merged together. I ought to try it out sometime.

hehe I never noticed the correlation...but maybe that explains my love of both songs. GYOW is my favorite...and I just love Sultans of Swing...the live version with the sax solo is orgasmic.... :D

This is really weird. I was just thinking this song sounds like a FM song, yesterday.

I noticed that too. I bet SOS was inspired a bit by GYOW.
