Fleetwood Mac theme song

Are there any Fleetwood Mac songs that you think would make a good theme song for the opening credits of a tv show? The reason I ask is because I am in TV Productions at school and I have the responsibility of creating a new "open" for the next term. And of course I want to use a Fleetwood Mac song!

Right now I am leaning towards the SYW chorus but I really want a song that is going to appeal to people and I don't know if my high school would appreciate Stevie's whiskey, nasally voice on this song. I was also thinking the Chain might be a good one.

Does anyone have any ideas? I need to find a thirty second to one minute clip. I want it to get people's attention but not be too loud since they air early in the morning and most people wouldn't be in a "Come" mood!

What's the alleged show about? Wouldn't that be important in choosing an opening?

It is just a news show where we report what is going on around school, say the official pledge of allegience, announce who made the chearleading squad, etc. But no one ever picks a instrumental, news appropriate song. It always ends up being some obnoxious punk rock band. So I thought now that it is my turn to do it I should pick something classy but I don't want elevator music either! Any ideas? I thought Say You Will would be a good bet. And of course the "Chains keep us together" chorus make sense since we are a school and chains keep us together! lol

Well, if it's a news show, i would say "WTWCT" or "Peacekeeper" or "Murrow turning over..." but you're probably not supposed to have a big message, so...well, maybe Peacekeeper, the chorus? It's hard for me to get a sense of what you want to accomplish with your opening... :sorry:

How about going older...something like "hypnotized"? from Mystery to me - or the solo from "Oh well"?

How about "Don't Stop"? That's a great way to start off anything! :)

Thanks, both WTWCT and Peacekeeper crossed my mind. Second News Also sounded appropriate since it is a news show! But I think my teacher wouldn't find "lay me down in the tall grass and let me do my stuff" appropriate.

But really I am not trying to convey a message it is just a way to introduce the news.

That's a great idea! I love that song. I think the album version might sound a bit dated though- but the Dance version might be perfect!

I've never heard Oh Well but I love Hypnotised and if I did a black and white opening it might be really cool and mellow, you know?

No, don't do don't stop!!! I implore you. Actually, I think portions of second hand news would be great...uh...the last verse of seven wonders? clearly, i'm drawing a pretty big blank...

Is it wrong that I like Stevie's more pessimistic lyric changes in the Live In Boston version as opposed to the Dance version? She puts a negeative spin on the song but I love her lyric changes.

On a completely different note I just heard Sara on the radio!!!! Sara!!!!

Sara!!!

No way, I like Stevie singing it waaaay better. It adds a little edge to an extremely...something poppy and annoying...song.
Yay, Sara! I know, i pause whenever i hear mac on the radio, even though it's always a song i own and have heard a million times. Although, the other night on my station they played "oh, well" the original, then "oh, well" Lindsey - that kicked ass, i wish they would do stuff like that all the time...

Oh I go crazy when I hear them on the readio too. I was at the drug store with my friend and when I heard the opening notes to Sara I grabbed her and said in an extremely serious and scary tone "It's a Stevie Nicks song" and of course she just rolled her eyes!

of course...why do we have no mac friends? It makes more sense for you, cause you're young...but i was born in '74...Even my mom is all "I only LOVE GDW, and The Chain is pretty good" (she really does love GDW, though) Yep, I love those singing in Walgreen's moments..
So did you decide on a song? Still, I vote for peacekeeper or SHN...

I always thought that the beginning of Skies the Limit sounds like a cheesy sitcom theme song. Something like "Growing Pains" or "Family Ties".
