Something Big
I have given the new Mick Fleetwood album a couple of spins and once again he has come out with a solid disc. This is a good album! Bitter End,Something Big,No Borders and Heaven Sent have some great arangements. I hope Mick can re-release his first two solo albums on TallMan records. I'm Not Me and The Vistor are excellent albums also. You have to give his new disc a listen.

on www.mickfleetwoodband.com you can listen to some samples if I am not mistaken...

No Borders is also a great song! This Cd gets better with every listen. Micks druming is classic!

it's a great surprise
I think this is a fantastic record. Smallwood writes great songs full of lyrical stereotypes, but they don't feel forced. His delivery is great: I believe him. This guy has some Petty/Cougar Mellencamp-qualities. Mick's drumming is exquisite. I love his very obvious contributions to "passion", but also in the more subtle rythmpatterns he's in topform.
again, this album is a big positive surprise to my ears! |
I was really suprised by this record. I was like "well I'll pick it up for my collection." Now I can't stop listening to it.
Way to go Mick  |

I bought my copy of the CD this afternoon (us Aussies have to wait 2-8 weeks for some of these releases to make their way here...). I'm still at work and managed to listen to the first track and was somewhat impressed! :)
I'll give it a good run through over the weekend but after reading a few posts here, it seems like it is quiet a desent album! :) Brett |
