it was a small eruption but still something of interest.

I lived in Portland when it first went off, and it was a sight to see. I spent all day on the roof watching the show.

I visited Mt. St. Helens back in the mid-90's. They have a really cool visitor center there. It was very interesting to see.

Erupting? I think "farting" might be a better term... :laugh:

Don't get me wrong, I hope she doesn't blow. That area of the country is so beautiful, I hate to think of it all covered in ash. I visited Seattle a few years ago, and the view from the Space Needle was awe-inspiring, especially the plaques with maps that show where Mt. St. Helens used to be on the horizon, before the first eruption.

To quote Rosanne Rosanna Danna when when this same volcano erupted in the early 80's "I say - if you live next to a pimple, its a gonna pop!" :cool: :laugh:

its recharging and gonna blow again, and this time the visitor's center has been cleared out. No one expects it to be as big as in 80, but still, an active volcano is pretty intimidating!
