Edge - How cute!

They're playing Edge of 17. Some guy called up the DJ on the all request lunch & asked to hear some Stevie Nicks. Asked what he was doing, & he's working laying carpet. The DJ asked what song did he want to hear. Well he didn't know, he didn't know the name of her songs very well, but he knew that he just liked Stevie Nicks. Isn't that cute?

That IS cute! A lot cuter than the encounter I had today with a girl at the coffee counter in the Student Union who was tapping her feet to Rhiannon. I asked her if she was a enjoying a little Stevie this morning and her abrupt reply was, "I'm not a fan" and she was really rude about it! I was like, look, you're tapping your feet, you must like it, just admit it! Anyway, I took my coffee and ran away from there!

Gaw, she sounds like she was ACTIVELY AGAINST being a stevie fan. How strange. But the important thing is, Rhiannon was playing... :)

My nephews both know I love FM and therefore don't like them because it would NOT be cool to like something your aunt likes.

However one day I was round at their house and The Cors video of Dreams was playing. We all stopped talking to watch and listen and my elder nephew said "do you like that?" I replied that I prefered the original "what original?" he said (honestly the youth of today)

He was mortified when he found out!

While we're on the subject of Stevie encounters, I just got back from lunch where I heard "Stand Back" on the radio, so of course I immediately evacuated my booth to put my ear up to the speaker on the wall and shouted "It's Stevie, it's Stevie!!"

Hehe, I know what you mean, I try to stay calm, but I just can't. It's so rare when I hear Fleetwood Mac songs on the radio, that I just have to celebrate... No matter where I am.

I had a rather odd but great Stevie/FM experience last night at work (I work in a department store). First someone told me we finally got Live In Boston in (I'm in Australia), then about ten minutes later Talk to Me came on the store radio. Then an ad for the store came on and straight after that Sara came on!

I've never heard two Stevie songs back to back on the store radio so I couldn't help yelling out "Oh my god! Two Stevie songs in a row!" to everyone within hearing distance. That made my night.
