Ack! Help (School related)

So I'm taking a class called Theory of Knowledge. It's pretty much a Philosophy class. We have an assignment to find a song/movie/book/etc that exemplifies Propositional Knowledge.

Propositional Knowledge has three different distinctions that need to be made between propositions.

1) Empirical - statements of fact (You should not waste food.)
Normative - value judgements based on norms (Waste not, want not.)
Metaphysical - expresses one's basic world view (my teacher said Annie Hall was a good one for this) (I think you should not waste food.)

2) A priori - proposition whose truth is knowable prior to experience (the amount of food wasted is about 20% of what is used.)

3) Analytic - true by virtue of the meanings of their parts

----
And naturally, I can't think of anything. Aside from Donnie Darko, which I can't make sense of. My friend's bringing in Empire Records. My teacher mentioned The Butterfly Effect last week (although I watched it and it made sense at first, when you think about it it makes NO SENSE AT ALL).

So can anyone here think of a movie, song, book, etc, that fits into one of those categories? I'm talking to one of my friends and she says Natural Born Killers or The Matrix would work. But I want some more opinions.

Thanks for any help! (This is due tomorrow, by the way. Yay, procrastination!) :)

Is this papper supposed to reflect to your own feelings?

Gosh, that's tough...I did well in Phil, but...
actually, now that i think about it, a song would be easiest...
but i'm not sure if I understand correctly...
It has to have a statement of fact, or a normative or a metaphysical? or fact and normative and metaphysical?
then and the also the other 2?

I'm pretty sure it can be just one of the bunch. I'm leaning more toward Metaphysical, since that should be easier.

For instance, my teacher mentioned Annie Hall because in it, Woody Allen expresses his world view and that it is absurd, etc. So something along those lines would be perfect. :)

ok, but also it has to have number 2 and 3 as you wrote them?
as in, metaphysical, a priori, and analytic component?

Mmmmnot that I know of. Those are just from the notes I was taking.

Basically, the chosen movie/song/book/whatever can be:
Empirical
Normative
A priori
Metaphysical
or Analytic

Hee. "Peackeeper" just came up on Winamp and I realized something. Pretty much any of Lindsey's SYW songs could be used as Metaphysical. Murrow, Red Rover, Peacekeeper, WTWCT... All represent his "basic world views."

Yay! :D

The first thing that came to mind for this one is "Don't Look Now" starring Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie from '72.

Do you have to watch the films in class? If so, this wouldn't be a good choice. However, if you aren't watching them in class and just have to write about it or bring it in, rent this one immediately!

Hee. Thanks for the recommendation, but we apparently *do* have to play a clip of it in class. I think I'll end up playing all of Peackeeper and ramble on about Lindsey's opinion of the song or something. I think either that or WTWCT is the most concrete of the political-themed songs of his on SYW. And the most comprehensible. I still don't know what the hell he's saying in Red Rover and it took me forever to understand what he's saying in Murrow.

Oh well. It's one of those movies that you have to watch every second of to understand the ending, and even then you'll be scratching your head for awhile before you even begin to understand it. Check it out anyways, it's fantastic.
