US Death Toll in Iraq passes 1000 mark
U.S. Death Toll in Iraq Reaches Grim Milestone
Tue Sep 7, 7:03 PM ET By Will Dunham WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The American death toll in Iraq topped 1,000 on Tuesday nearly 18 months after President Bush launched the war that has become a central issue in the November U.S. presidential elections. U.S. casualties in Iraq have surged in recent weeks, particularly among Marines, as Washington fights a guerrilla war that has no quick end in sight. Bush's Democratic rival John Kerry--a decorated Vietnam War veteran--called it "a tragic milestone." I couldnt agree more. We need to get the heck outa Dodge... :distress: |
And the death toll of Iraqi civilians is said to be at minimum of 11793 and a maximum of 13802..somewhere in between those numbers..
But we will likely never know because as General Tommy Franks said "we dont do body counts" Chris |
My hearts go out to every American family who was deceived into having their child go over to Iraq, only to be murdered by this administration. No words or wishes can ever do anything to ease their pain.

Tragic. :distress:
