Pray for Floridians
Hey guys and gals...keep us all in your thoughts and prayers. I live just north of Orlando in Altamonte Springs. The projected path of Frances is to blast right thru here. All the people in this town were JUST getting over the aftermath of Charley, even 2 weeks later, and now here we go again! It's very frustrating, even the place I work is closing for 3 days...so there goes much needed bill money. Anyways...just remember us. =)

Oh, trust me. We are. Be safe!!!!

My thoughts are with you. Check in when you can.

thankfully the storm is slowly losing steam. i think those that evacuated should all be OK.
but we still need to pray for Floridians.... pray that all who are eligible actually vote on November 2nd. If that happens the state will go to Kerry and half the battle will have been won. Jesus was a Liberal. |
Brandon, you are in our prayers. I have family in Orlando, and I called today to see if they got out or what. All I got was the machine, so I'm hoping that they left town.
Take care. |
I don't believe there would be a person who visits this board that wouldn't be genuinely concerned about what you are going through, god bless you and best of luck :wavey:

Thanks guys! My power is out now, but my old laptop is running on its battery still!!! =) Everything seems ok. There are lots of fallen trees again, many people dont have power and the rain and winds are still kicking. We are getting heavy rains here. I think these 2 hurricanes are just a catalyst telling me to get the hell out of this state!!

My husband thinks I'm nuts for watching Hurricane Frances coverage all day, but I am concerned for all the people of Florida. I'm praying it'll all be over soon for all Floridians & hopefully Hurricane Ivan will go out to sea.

I'm down in Miami, and we really lucked out here. We got some wind and rain, but we didn't lose our power or even our satelite (which has a tendency to go out when the wind blows to hard). But like I said, we were lucky here in Miami. Unfortunately, others up north weren't as lucky. Hopefully Ivan will make a turn away from all of us in Florida.

I live in Melbourne Beach right where it hit. I am so thankful we still have power. I would have had to evaquate out of the city after the storm if we didn't have air conditioning! It really was not as bad as it could have been. I took a drive this afternoon and no windows were broken, just a few fallen down trees. The worst part of the whole thing was being cooped up in the house with my Grandparents all day! They are so conservative and by the book and stubborn I wanted to throw up! Does anyone else on the board live in Melbourne? How did you do?

It's still going on outthere. Seen some pictures. It really is destroying everything. That's bad, hope you all get well.
Will (But what is going on with out inviroment and our world??, the world heat's up, terrorists are killing children) |
This was my 2nd hurricane, definately worse than Charley; I was in the path of Frances and we had some damage, our house is still here but our pool cage has taken a beating, most of our trees in the back, and a palm in the front that is about to fall ~ I bet it falls for Ivan. But this has put a big damper on me, first having friends basically abandon me and not wanting me part of a what I would call "adventure" for the up and coming MI show, then having these hurricanes; man it really has put me down :(

=(
I've decided...if IVAN hits us...3rd time is a charm. I'm moving. I'll pack up my things (which half of them are in boxes already) and move to Atlanta!!
