John/Julie '80 Bust?
 

Hello all. I read tonight that there was a raid at John's Hawaii house in 1980. They found blow but Julie said it was hers. I'm really curious to know if this is fact, because I can't recall ever hearing about this before. Does anybody know?

It was in Rolling Stone. That's how most of us old-timers found out about it at the time. Check the Blue Letter Archives for the article. I believe it may have been a Random Notes column.

Yeah, he actually passed a lie detector test to prove that he didn't know it was there. And I also think i remember reading that his wife got herself in deeper doodoo by trying to 'get rid of it', i guess trying to flush it. :lol:

He also got in trouble for having unregistered firearms in the house; he said he didn't know the US laws. Lucky he didn't get his British bum deported back to the UK. :)
