Austin City Limits Festival-help, please!

ACL Festival

Okay, y'all did such a great job w/ the SXSW recommendations, I'm asking again for the ACL Festival - cool that I'll get to see the people I missed during SXSW - Calexico, Franz Ferdinand...why is Elvis Costello playing in the middle of the afternoon? That just seems wrong to me....thanks! :D

Oh - the people you've never heard of? Most of 'em are local, I can see them anytime. But YOU should check out Monte Montgomery, Reckless Kelly and Bob Schneider.

Okay- for me, these would be must see- Neko Case (HUGE Neko fan), Cat Power, Blind Boys, and Modest Mouse.

Also good would be My Morning Jacket (much better live than on record), Josh Rouse, and Mindy Smith.

And, uh, duh, THE PIXIES!

You HAVE to see Modest Mouse and of course, Franz Ferdinand. I really like G. Love and Special Sauce, Jack Johnson (who worked with G.Love) and Cake as well

I heard something about Sheryl Crow playing...was I hallucinating?

Neko Case is amazing, I saw her with Calexico during SXSW last year, saw Cat Power too--she was a total nut! :] She was good, she just needs to get over her inferiority complex. She kept apologizing after each song because I guess she thought she didn't do a good job, and one time she told the audience that we were "just being nice" to applaud after one of her songs. Let's just say she's really strange.

Back to ACL: If I go, I'll look forward to seeing Franz Ferdinand and Wilco. I haven't decided if I'm going yet.
