Who are you going to vote for?

If the election were held today, who would you vote for? No need for a political debate, let's just see who Fleetwood Mac fans think should win this November.

I haven't decided between Kerry or the Green Party candidate (not Nader!). At this current moment, I'm leaning towards Kerry, so I cast my vote for him in the poll. ;)

DeeGeMe 08-10-2004 08:20 AM

Hey Diss--do you live in a swing state?

estranged4life 08-10-2004 08:25 AM

Easy...

I will vote for South Park's "Kenny McCormick", Gotta like a candidate that can die daily (Except for that one time during Christmas) and be up and "at 'em" the next, To only die once more

Brian "Oh my God, they voted for Kenny...You bastards" j.

ps-In all honesty, I am STILL undecided between Shrub & Franken-Kerry

LOL...since I've now entered my career as a journalist - I am not supposed to divulge that information....:D

In the last week though- I saw both Kerry and Bush speak at a convention - and had to cover their speeches....very interesting experience...

Anyway, it sort of sucks - I'm opinionated and such - but I also strive to be a good journalist...therefore I can't talk about my personal political views hehe...at least that's what my mentors have said

I voted for none of the above. I'm voting for Badnarik, the Libertarian candidate. I'm registered in Illinois, which will go to Kerry undoubtedly. He doesn't need my vote to win there, Bush doesn't need my vote to lose there, so I figured I'd make a statement.

That's cool!

I'm not afro american..

But I don't vote either..

If I would, I wouldn't vote for Bush. I don't like him. I think he really damaged the US image in other countries.

By the way, when are the elections?

Yup, here it is:

"If nothing else, you will have a mom in the White House. You can call your Mama T anytime."

I love her. And I almost died when she praised gays, lesbians, and transexuals for "pushing the envelope." Such a class act.

I live in Colorado and I'll be voting for Kerry. :)

Here are some more great quotes from Mama T:

“Keep your head on, listen to your heart, remember who you are. Remember all the things you're taught.”

“I always taught my children they had to treat people properly or I would smack them.” (I love this one)

“I’m not perfect, Lord knows. And I have opinions and so do other people. The only thing one hopes is that when people criticize you, they’ve really thought about it. And I would hope that my friends and those that are not my friends, but would think about whatever, would criticize me with that in mind, which is to make it be better. That’s what criticism should be for. Other kinds of criticism, you know, it’s a free country.”

"It's time that we who clean up should have a say in how the dirt should be made."

Teresa is so awesome! I almost want John Kerry to win so we can have a First Lady like her in office. Granted, I'd rather have her running, but she can't because she wasn't born in the US (have I mentioned how stupid of a rule that is?).

Anyway -- gotta love Mama T!

That is cool. I wish her husband would be more supportive, though.
 :distress:
