80's Top Ten

And what about your 1980's top ten??? A cool decade that gave us cool music.

My list would be (of course nonmac songs):

Hold me Now - Thompson Twins
Enola Gay - OMD
Every breath you take - Police
She bops - Cyndi Lauper
Billie Jean - Michael Jackson
Let's go crazy - Prince
Time - Culture Club
Back to the chain gang - Pretenders
Walk like an egyptian - Bangles
We got the beat - Go Gos

Too pop? well,, those were the 80s

YAY!! My fave decade!!

No particular order...

Change of Heart - Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Brass in Pocket - The Pretenders

The Metro - Berlin
Borderline - Madonna
Heartbreaker - Pat Benatar
Sweet Child o' Mine - Guns N Roses (EDIT: I completely forgot about this song. How could I have forgotten it?!)

Great picks! "Sweet Child o' Mine" is an awesome song with one of the most under-appreciated guitar riffs of the '80's.

John

How about the more obscure one-hit wonders...

Welcome to the Boomtown (David & David)
I Love the Things You Do to Me (Balaam & the Angel)
Mary's Prayer (Danny Wilson)

Whisper to a Scream (Icicle Works)
88 Lines about 44 Women (The Nails)
She Talk in Stereo (Gary Myrick and the Figure) <--Tom Petty sound-alike)
Eyes of a Stranger (Payola$)

and so many more unsung heroes!
