Singles

I was in the store the other day and I happned to notice the remastered 'Fleetwood Mac' which has bonus tracks, and some of which are singles.

Two such single tracks were Over My Head and Rhiannon (Will You Ever Win). What is the difference between these tracks and the regular ones?

Differences

If memory serves, "Over My Head" doesn't fade-in and and has some different guitar flourishes. "Rhiannon" has some different background vocals and a more pronounced guitar riff. Their differences are very noticable, unlike a lot of the alternate versions on "The Chain" boxed-set.

A little off-topic, but not quite:

I just got the new Blondie "Singles Box" in the mail today and I sure wish that the Mac would put out something like this. It's 15 discs, each one having the original tracks that were on the vinyl singles back in the day. Each disc is housed in a 7" recreation of the original picture sleeves, too. To have something like this from FM would be fantastic, IMO.

Mick told in his book that Over my head was remixed for better sound on car stereos. Cool sound so it would be more pop and friendly listening on radios.

But I never knew which version was remixed, the one at the album, the single, or an alternative just for radios distribution.

Here's a link with more pictures of the set and everything. It is REALLY stunning and thorough. Can Debbie Harry be any more beautiful?

I just got Debravation, too! I had the toughest time finding and was in ecstasy when I finally listened to it. Koo Koo is still my fave, though. :D

There's a book that just came out by photographer Mick Rock called "Picture This" and it's almost 300 pages of Debbie and Blondie photos. I think she's quite possibly the sexiest rock star of all time. And she never showed cleavage or much skin, either.

I still think Stevie in th 70's and REAL early 80's was the sexiest rock star ever. And then for a brief time in 1998 she was the sexiest ever again.

Yeah, those two hours that I was drunk!

Hawkeye 08-06-2004 11:17 PM

No seriously for me she was her hottest from 1975-1981 and then all of sudden in 1998 for like a year she was almost at that level again and then it left as quickly as it came. And now she's just hot for her age but not overall. Maybe I'm crazy but when I see her on her BTM from 1998 giving those interviews I just start to sweat. Maybe I'm just drunk like you but I don't think so.
