LADIES' LUCK AT NATASHA'S
It's ladies night at Natasha's on Thursday.

California singer-songwriter Irina Rivkin will make a stop at Natasha's Cafe, 112 Esplanade, for an intimate performance at 8 p.m.

Rivkin is the founder of Berkeley's Rose Street House of Music, a non-profit, all-volunteer musical community that helps support female singer-songwriters locally and nationally. So far, Rose Street has produced two compilations and 15 tours.

Joining Rivkin on this tour will be San Diego Music Award-winner Lisa Sanders. Sanders' status as a quality opening act can't be disputed: She has opened for B.B. King, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, James Taylor, Stevie Nicks and Sting, among others. Denise Dill will open the show.

A donation of $5 to $10 is suggested at the door. Visit www.rosestreetmusic.com for more on the Rose Street House.

Does anyone recall when Lisa Sanders opened up for Stevie Nicks?
