Isn't Mystical Love a different song that ROL?

I think both are the same song with different names. I checked on the SN underground site. The lyrics are a tiny bit different, but it's the same song for the most part.

I love Christian too :nod:That's another one that goes by two different names~ aka Spinning Wheels

Sorry, I was thinking of This Is My Cross To Bear.

They are definitely the same song. The title "Mystical Love" was given by traders and is the product of misheard lyrics, the sound on the "jam session demo" being somewhat distorted and "chipmunky".

I really love this song. Too bad Stevie can no longer release it because somehow, I just can't imagine her singing about rich old ladies now... ;)

Just heard this demo for the first time... Anyone have info on it?

So mournful. Is it what she fears she'd be?

This is my most played demo by a wide margin.. I absolutely ADORE this song. It was the very first Stevie demo I remember hearing, actually.

The only info I can gather is that it's from the same demo reel as Outside the Rain.

I think it's about her affair with someone married, and how she feels responsible for the men in her life, like she's the old lady that feels obligated to do the right thing, even if it makes her feel frail and controlling.

However, I also see it as one of her "premonition songs" like you said. I mentioned in another thread how Stevie always talks about being old, which is the subconscious way of dealing with any given fear. I had never thought of this song in that context, but I think it just supports the fact that she's always been afraid of aging.
