How can anyone trash "Songbird" like this?

 Not only is this article trashing "Songbird," it also takes some shots at Stevie as well. I'm going to post the entire list in the "chit chat" section of our board. Check it out! There are definitely some other "stupid" choice on there, not just our beloved "Songbird."

50 Years of Rock

Bad to the Bone
The worst songs of great rockers!

Songbird, Fleetwood Mac: Sure, it would be easy to trash one of Stevie Nicks' ponderous, shawl-swirling, incense-heavy Rhiannon-Sara songs. We don't know what they mean, but she's a poet in her heart, ya know? But the one song that brings the Mac's brilliant Rumours album to a crashing halt is this middle-of-the-road Christine McVie schmaltz-a-thon about a songbird that keeps singing . . . and singing . . . and singing. OK, we know the score. Stevie, all is forgiven!

One would think that if one of Christine's songs were to end up on a list like this, it would be "Don't Stop." Not "Songbird," for heaven's sake. Undoubtedly one of the best songs she ever wrote.

I like Songbird...but it is a bit of a downer right after GYOW. It should have ended the album. GDW is such a depressing way to end it.

Considering that The Beatles' "Yesterday" also made this list from what I've heard, I'm not giving it much credit.

I'm kind of disgusted with the fact that the board won't let me post one-word messages... I just wanted to say:

blah.

I don't think you can take this too seriously with both "Yesterday" & "Songbird" on the list.
