Wish list for tour
Okay folks, we've heard rumours (hee) and got our hopes up for a solo Lindsey tour. Now, let's make a wish setlist. I don't want a guitar army, I just want Lindsey on stage with a good drummer, bassist a couple of background vocalists and that's IT.
Monday Morning Holiday Road Shadow of the West I Know I'm Not Wrong Red Rover Peacekeeper Tango in the Night Street of Dreams Go Insane Don't Look Down Slow Dancing (with an extended acoustic solo at the end) Murrow That's Enough For Me Time Bomb Town Come Can't Go Back Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind Save Me A Place Encore: ISA Say We'll Meet Again |
Let's see..
You Do Or You Don't <-- what a perfect opener, IMO! (But then, I don't like MM! Sorry :P ) Lola Trouble Murrow The Chain acoustic! (with falsetto harmonies a'la the demo) Down On Rodeo - Ohhhhhhhh yeahhh. :) :) IKINW Red Rover That's the best I can do for now, but of course I'd be happy with just that! |
Twist of Fate
Without a leg to stand on. The ledge Miranda Shuffle Riff Turn it on Don't let me down again Wrong I want you Loving Cup Mary lee jones Johhny Stew Save me a place IKINW Red rover Murrow WTWCT Eyes of the world Empire state On the wrong side Go your own way Gift of screws Given Thing Bleed to love her. Note: No ISA? No Come? No. Not without Mick and John. I've seen and heard the ultimate takes on those. Let him freak out on Loving cup, Murrow and Johnny Stew. |
As long as he does his Stand Back sex dance (minus Stand Back, of course, if this is Lindsey solo) I don't care what songs he plays!! lol ;)
|
ITA, Gerald. No ISA, Come or WTWCT without Mick, and John.
|
I agree.

ad2) I'd almost risk a domestical crisis to hear him do that live in person. Assuming he wouldn't come over to Paradiso, Amsterdam to do this show... ;) |
Holiday Road
Tango In The Night I Know I'm Not Wrong Go Insane You Do Or You Don't Lola Stephanie Without A Leg To Stand On A slow acoustic version of Blue Letter Love Minus Zero/No Limit Murrow I Want You The Ledge Steal Your Heart Away - Jake |
I can only think of Lola. It's been my favorite live song for nearly a week :D Great opener!
Oh! Oh! What about Big Love - Electric? With a full band? I'd love to see him with a smaller backing band, like a rhythm section and just one extra guitarplayer. |
Here's what I'd do...
Monday Morning
Lola My Love Trouble Eyes Of The World What Makes You Think You're The One Countdown Tango In The Night Go Insane Big Love Steal Your Heart Away Red Rover Murrow Turning Over In His Grave Tusk I'm So Afraid I Know I'm Not Wrong Go Your Own Way Blue Letter Wrong Holiday Road |
PART ONE:
I Know I'm Not Wrong (Couldn't possibly think of a better song to open with!) Big Love (Original album version!!!....just think how great that cymbal opening would sound as the 2nd song in the setlist...the crowd will go NUTS!!!:blob2: ) The Chain (Excellent "acoustic" idea Joe! Let's have Lindsey play the dobro parts of the original, and Neale Heywood playing the electric parts. A very simple kickdrum backing them up on the verses. Then for the solo at the end, Lindsey switches to an electric. "Fleetwood Bac" did something very similar to this when I saw them last year....Very daring, and it worked beautifully.) Loving Cup (LB picks up the dobro again! Neale plays the power chords and the solo.) Murrow (That dobro's not going anywhere! LB plays the acoustic parts, and Mr. Heywood plays a lap steel for the electric parts, Ray Lindsey plays a Model 27 for the rhythm parts. Lindsey switches to the Model 1 for the solo at the end, and Ray joins him for a massive duel of the Turner guitars....!) Bwana (A blast from the past and LB goes crazy doing ultra high and ultra low vocals!) The Ledge (LB dons the Fender Bass VI:thumbsup: and a guest female star, NOT Stevie, joins him on stage for this!) Come (Played totally different to the way we are used to. The whole song is played in the acoustic flamenco theme it opens with, with only LB, Ray and Neale on stage with spanish guitars. LB plays a flamenco solo at the end over the rhythm guitars of Neale and Ray. When the solo is finished, Neale and Ray's rhythm guitar segues into the acoustic waltz at the of Slow Dancing.) Slow Dancing (A massive burst of energy as we go into a full-on version of the song, the crowd goes wild! Lindsey really exaggerates the vocal sound effects on the song and plays, especially for Christy:D, a very extended waltz ending.) Red Rover (The acoustics stay in the hands of Neale and Ray, LB performs his latest masterpiece!) Save Me A Place (A beautiful 3 part guitar harmony, with LB only on vocals.) Family Man (LB breaks out the Gibson Chet Atkins to play those awesome spanish licks! Just think how much it would mean to him to perform this song live NOW...!..I think he would do an amazing job!) Go Insane (The Chet Atkins stays in his hands and everyone else clears off the stage so he can perform another masterpiece.) =END OF PART ONE= PART TWO: The WHOLE of OUT OF THE CRADLE: Instrumetal Intro, Don't Look Down, Wrong, Countdown, All My Sorrows, Soul Drifter, Instrumental Intro (YES PLEASE!), This Is The Time, You Do Or You Don't, Street Of Dreams (Album version!), Surrender The Rain, Doing What I Can, Turn It On, This Nearly Was Mine, Say We'll Meet Again. =END OF PART TWO= ENCORES: Play In The Rain Parts One & Two (Just think how FREAKY that intro. would sound in a live concert as an encore....with low lighting.....and how EXPLOSIVELY POWERFUL the "LET'S PLAY!!" part would be!!) Down On Rodeo (Just LB and his guitar. Everyone chills out & goes home smiling. They just attended a concert of a modern music genius.) ======== This reminds me of when our teacher used to ask us to write letters to Santa...and some of us would get really, really, really carried away.:D |
I must say, I like your's the best, seteca
|
Bravo!!
Daring and exquisite, Seteca!
