Mirage Remaster-- need rarities
 

Guys and gals,

I'm trying my hand at making some Mirage tracks more listenable. I'm doing a combination of things... pulling tracks off the audiophile vinyl and using some of the old CD tracks, along with stuff that has already been remastered for other discs (Very Best Of, Chain Box Set). I have a couple of reference studio monitors that I mixed my band's record on, and while of course I don't have individual tracks to mix down, you'd be surprised how much better this stuff can sound with a little judicious EQ-ing here and there, plus getting the dB level up to snuff.

What I'm really looking for is some cool rarities, particularly the one of Christine McVie doing Gypsy, but anything else you think would be appropriate. Once I get finished, if I can find some bandwidth, I'll make it available to everyone.

Here's what I have that sounds decent and salvagable:

Eyes of the World Acoustic Demo

I've looked around at other sites and gleaned what sounded decent. Would love to get your input.

Hey...

Gotten lots of e-mail about this, including some good suggestions. Consider this a response to all of you:

Bandwidth, as someone so eloquently pointed out, shouldn't be an issue because converting a high-quality 24-bit track to MP3 would sorta defeat the purpose. So there's that. But I could still trade on CD.

Several have said they have things from that era but don't think they're very high quality. If it's interesting and sounds decent, that's okay. It can be cleaned up a little, and I'm not really expecting something the quality of the remastered bonus discs.
