Welcome to the Ledge....tenchgirl! Yes, you are in the right place to discuss Stevie solo stuff....Twisted is one of my faves. In fact, I like that whole soundtrack. It sure beats the lousy movie.

Welcome. If you haven't heard the version on Stevie's boxed set, it's worth hearing.

You know what's weird, I've never heard Twisted with Stevie and Lindsey. I only have heard the demo from the boxed set. And I love that one, I can't imagine what i'd think of the finished version.

The sound is less sparse but also looser, if that makes sense.

The Stevie and Lindsey version of Twisted is a little harder too, more of a guitar sound. It also has a bridge added in the middle that goes "I know, you know watching you go is like dying, is like dying." Stevie sings the first verse, Lindsey the second, then they harmonize on the choruses and third verse. Plus, an added bonus is Stevie busting loose at the end, belting out "Sun goes down, chasing down the demons, you think you hear demons, I think YOU are the demons, as the sun goes down, sun goooooooooooes down, as the sun goes down, and your chasing down the demons, not crying out for love, for love, sun goes do-own!" It's really worth looking for, go find it Hawkeye. (I'd email it to you but I use Hotmail and cannot send a file that big, sorry).

I absolutely adore the live versions of Twisted that were performed during the Enchanted Tour. I wish the Buckingham/Nicks version would have been arranged in a similar fashion.

Ditto!! This was definitely the highlight of the Enchanted tour for me; hopefully we'll hear again sometime...

Anybody that's got AOL can hear the Stevie/Lindsey version from the soundtrack....
Go to Radio@aol
The FleetwoodMacDJ station plays it quite a bit!!
I enjoy it!

"Twisted" would have actually been a nice addition to the current setlist.
Stevie's done it live within the last several years, so it's not like they'd have to worry about the crowd being completely unfamiliar with it. And yet, it hasn't been done so often that it's old hat.
Plus, it'd provide yet another opportunity for that great Nicks & Buckingham chemistry.
