So what are we getting this year?

Destiny rules - Vh1 doc
Say you will documentary (Is that a different thing??)
FM,TUSK,RUMOURS reissues

DVD-A's TISL and others?

A new stevie album? A new mac album? A christine album?

Will this be the most prolific year to date?

I've already pre-ordered the Fleetwood Mac, Rumours & Tusk reissues.

Hopefully, the Fleetwood Mac & Tusk DVD-Audios will be coming soon, as well as some old Blue Horizon releases late this year. And with any luck, I especially hope for Christine's solo album.

I think at best we can expect:

Destiny Rules will air tonight 3/14, then it will be included with the dvd of the pbs live show recorded in Boston last year, which will first air in the spring on pbs - then be released commercially.

3 reissues, FM, Rumours, Tusk

Lindseys Soundstage performance with Stevie as his guest will air in the spring on pbs.... Not sure about a dvd of this.

The dvd-a's of Tusk, FM or any others have no release date.

TISL isn't even mentioned as a possibility of a dvd-a treatment.

Christine McVie's album has no release date, we don't even know if it's in the can yet.

Doubt very much Stevie would release a solo album so soon after 3 years of straight FM involvement.

I personally think we'll see another FM album before another Stevie album.

I suppose it's in the can but they've been trying to find the right label to release it. And Ken Caillat spoke of being dissatisfied with the mixes, although that comment of his was somewhat vague.

I have a question...

Is there any hope of Fleetwood Mac Live, Mirage, and Tango In The Night be reissued like the White Album, Rumours, and Tusk???

I highly doubt that the doc and Boston show will be released together.

And TISL has been listed on some DVD-A release date sites, but the release date has been listed as TBA. Who knows if it's even in the can. It'll be a couple of years before we see or hear any new DVD-As, IMO. They've already been working on them for over two years.

I guess that's what I meant about Christine's album... I had heard about the mixing situation.

As far as any further albums being reissued, I'm sure at some point they will, but I'm sure it all depends on how these 3 albums do sales wise. And I don't think they would touch the live discs, but Mirage will probably get done before Tango. Not sure Tango needs to be remastered, it was put out at the time cds were being made wasn't it? I could be wrong about that.

I have absolutely no idea, but I'd really like to see the Live album. :D

I think personaly there is room for improvement on tango
remastering technologies are allot beter today than in 1987.
+ we need those bonus 12"and b-sides ;)

iamstevienicks 03-14-2004 03:49 PM

I definitely want a tango remaster with extra galore!!

According to David McLees (Senior Vice President of Artists & Repertoire, for Warner Music Group's Warner Strategic Marketing division), they plan to remaster all of the Mac albums they have the rights to ('Then Play On,' onward), starting with the albums that featured Stevie & Lindsey.

So, as long as they don't change their minds, it looks good for remasters of at least 'Mirage' and 'Tango In The Night.'
And even though it's "just" a live album, hopefully 'Fleetwood Mac Live' will be remastered (and expanded) too.
