My personal edit of TUSK!
Hey guys,
I've made a great "re-mix" of the song TUSK using ProTools. I took pieces from a bootleg, pieces from the Chain boxed set and parts from the newly released Very Best of to come up with the ultimate version of the song. I feel it's much more dramatic, maybe even over-the-top if you will. For all of you interested I can make CD copies of it and get them out to you. |
Dude, can you send an MP3?
You know, this makes me think of a funny story. I have Cool Edit, which I use to clean up music files, do some mixing on my own music, etc. Last summer, Mrs. Carne asked me to make a mix for a CD to play at her company barebecue. I took one song, and somewhere in the middle, made a cold stop. I inserted a very wooden recording of my voice: "Paging, John Smith [I actually used the name of a friend of mine who works there]. Paging John Smith." Then the song would restart, and the page would repeat. The corporate crowd was so aghast and flabbergasted, they didn't know what to do. When they figured out it was coming from the CD, they got all pissed off and pulled it. My friend [aka, John Smith] thought it was hilarious. Mrs. Carne has already put me on notice that I will not be making the mix for this year's barbecue. |
I'd like to hear it. Got an MP3? :)
