Uncut Review of Re-issues (April)

I don't know if anyone has posted about this, but the re-issues are in Uncut magazines "Reissue of the month" section, and Tusk and Rumours both get 5 stars, whilst Fleetwood Mac gets 3.

The reviewer says Rumours is the pop equivalent to Kurosawa's "Rashomon" :)

"The same tragedy witnessed from 3 different perspectives"

It doesn't really mention much about the extras other than that the cleaning lady version of Sara is a highlight.

The final paragraph reads...

Quote:

While last year's masterpiece, Say You Will, finally suceeded in squarring Rumours' emotionalism with Tusk's experimentalism, these three extraordinary records prove that experimentation and rawness were not alien to '70s mainstream rock; and it may be their most lasting testimony that, while punk burned itself out, the real radicalism of Buckingham and Nicks' Fleetwood Mac now shines more brightly than ever.

that's quite a remarkeble conclusion in 2004. I'm very happy with this enthousiastic approach, and it's true: in retrospect they have always been on the edge of commerciality and daring. we knew that, and now the uncut-reader knows it. come on ledgies, admit it. someone of us must have written this.
