Gold Dust Woman from Reissues!

The Fan Club is planning to preview the demo version of Gold Dust Woman from the reissues as a free download sometime today. Keep checking. I'll probably post it on my site too.

Hey guys

What's the sound fidelity like? just as maybe a general indication of the rest of the bonus tracks.

Joe...

Well, listening on the computer (no headphones), it sounds AMAZING to me. It's crystal clear! This version of GDW is very stripped down, acoustic...I like it. :)

It's a wma (protected) file encoded at 96 K bits/second. IMHO the sound quality is and will be excellent on the remastered cd. This version is acoustic guitar and cymbals (I think) and is played a little bit faster.

Since it's protected content, Windows Media Player (WMP) has to contact another website for the license. Once you acquire the license, the file can be played for 30 days.

Of note is that the last minute of the demo around the 3:50 mark sounds exactly like "If You Ever Did Believe" with Stevie singing "baby don't leave" etc.

My media player connected and got the license and still-no sound. Any suggestions?

WelshWitchPMD 02-27-2004 08:47 PM

My Windows Media player is still trying to acquire the licence. Did this take a long time because mine sure is taking forever.

It took a little bit and then it popped up on the screen. Still can't hear anything though.

Is bringing up a box that says 'the trial period has ended". I have not even gotten it to work.

I am getting frustrated now.

Did a window pop-up asking for a sign-up (e-mail address, birthdate, etc.)? I entered a an e-mail address and birth date (not my own) and then the file started playing.
