Dallas venue announced

Smirnoff Music Centre. Ick. Parking garage, horrible sound! Blech. Maybe I'll skip Dallas.

Oh WOW!!!

The Smirnoff Parking Garage is the venue...What a Gawd-awful amphitheatre (If that is what it can be called).

am I the only one who's actually excited about the venue chosen for my city? i mean, granted, it's a shed, but it's not a bad one-- verizon wireless ampitheater in charlotte, nc.

i know the atlanta people are upset about the choice of chastain park too (even though i will be going to that show).

and for all you sex and the city watchers out there-- we are not all country bumpkins here in charlotte.

Pretty much.

Camden, NJ---Tweeter Center.....BLECH.
Hershey, PA---Hershey Stadium...BLECH.

I'm told PNC is a nice place to see a concert in Holmdel so perhaps I'll go there instead of Hershey.

And yea...you're a total country bumpkin

Nope. I'm glad they're coming to Mansfield, MA where the Great Woods Ampitheatre used to be; that's an alright one. But, then they're going to the Meadows in Hartford, CT...and that one sucks ass.

I'm thrilled about the Woodlands in Houston, I love that place!

As I have NO clue whatsoever where I'm going to be in May and beyond and what my job situation will be like I don't where to get excited about lol...I hope I get to see them at least once though!!!

estranged4life 02-24-2004 04:25 PM

Well...

I wished they would play here at the "Zoo Amphitheatre" (I havent been to the OKC Zoo in awhile) but since it isnt a real shed I very much doubt if they would return to OKC on this shed tour (Would be cool if they did however, Since it is a general admission venue.)

Me too, Merf! I like Verizon Wireless in Clt. Although at the last show I saw there (Sheryl Crow/Train in '02), the sound was really bad. But hopefully that was just a one time thing.

The worst thing about Chastain is the size. We're all going to be killing each other to get those good seats because there are so few of them. I'm talking blood splattered tambourines and neck-strangling scarves!

I know, I'm totally unthrilled about this venue. I'm even more unthrilled that it's going to be out in the sticky, hot, blazing heat that will already be in full force by June!! I've never been to the Woodlands venue, what's it like?

32 seats in each row of the floor.... not great odds!

But hey, since it's smaller, 10th row won't seem as far away as it does in the larger arenas I guess. I'm meeting a bunch of friends down there so I will have fun no matter where I sit :) I'm excited!

Well I'm not too upset about the Atlanta venue (Chastain)...I will definetely be there...I have some great memories there..I'm just stressing because I know how hard it is to get tix to moderately successful acts at Chastain, much less Fleetwood Mac...once I have my tix I will be ok, because it's an incredible place

If you think Dallas is bad, I don't recommend Houston in June!
The Woodlands is a typical outdoors place, but expect a long walk from where you park your car, plus the "lots" are small patches of grass that seem scattered anough to make you think you won't find your car once you leave. But then you do.
