Fleetwood Mac or Madonna?

This is the burning question! I can either see FM multiple times or Madonna, who I am not as passionate about, one time and see FM less times. What to do, what to do. Has anyone seen Madonna before or is anyone interested in seeing her new tour? What kind of people go to Madonna shows? I have never been!

I think you should probably go see the cheap whore.

Hmm... is Christina Aguilera touring this Spring?

Christopher... your question is hard to answer.
Madonna traditionally puts on a lively, well-choreographed show... with a lot of energy and creativity.
However, she has tended to pepper her last few tours with mainly "obscure" tracks from which ever of her albums is the most recent.

So if you're not a major Madonna fan, you probably won't recognize a large part of her setlist... but then, that doesn't necessarily mean you won't enjoy the show.

A good suggestion might be to take in a couple Mac shows and one Madonna show.
Couldn't hurt! (well, anything other than your budget!) :)

Madonna is a must-see concert. i think everyone should go see her at least once, especially if they still can't realize her greatness.

p.s.
HomerMcvie, if you wanna use the term "cheap whore", please don't do it with Madonna. try calling your girlfriend or your mom this way instead, i think it would be more appropriate.

Johnnie, I believe the politically correct term for Christina is ho, not whore. Let's try not to be offensive.:)

Wow, am I missing a punchline? This seems pretty harsh.

I agree that Madonna is most certainly a whore. But, by no means is she cheap.

I saw Madonna in 2001 and I was a little disappointed. Don't get me wrong she is a great performer, but I spent all that money to see MADONNA, not 200 other people prancing around on a stage around Madonna. Unfortunatly that's what her concert was like. Plus I saw it right after seeing Stevie on the TISL tour with Sheryl Crow, and I was just amazed at how those women could stand alone on the stage and enteratin a huge crowd, while Madonna thinks she needs all these dancers and glam and glitz around her. What she doesn't realize is what a distraction it all is!

A Madonna show is a mixed bag, IMO. She chooses good songs for her sets, but the shows are so over the top that it gets rather annoying after half an hour. Plus, she's so into getting her moves just right and stuff that she doesn't concentrate on her singing and it gets pretty bad at times. I saw her in '01 and enjoyes the show somewhat, but I was letdown at the same time.

BUT, I wouldn't attend this tour because it's a guarantee that she'll do most of the songs from "American Life" and, besides for the title track and Hollywood, that album sucked teabags. And who knows if she'll break for intermission and play the audio book of her children's book on the speakers. Or maybe she'll make out with a female dancer.

I'd go with Hugh Grant's hooker Divine Brown before I paid for Madonna. She's damaged goods.

my advice would be see Fleetwood Mac more. Of course I'm saying this as someone who doesn't like Madonna At All and thinks she is very over ratted. So my advice is don't see Madonna.

DrummerDeanna 02-21-2004 12:29 PM

If you're not even passionate about Madonna then where is the question? See FM more!! Why pay a lot of money for someone you're not even that passionate about?

dontlookdown 02-21-2004 12:31 PM

ewwgh!

stinky Madonna?

she can't sing and her band sucks.

her music is crap.

why would you ever pass up a chance to see Fleetwood Mac for that top 40 pop garbage?
