How to get good seats?

Okay, the last show I went to, we paid over 300 dollars for two tickets and we called within ten minutes of them going on sale. However, the seats were so bad, I could hardly see Fleetwood Mac! How does one get excellent seats? Is the fan club really the way to go? Or should I be looking on eBay? Or just checking ticketmaster nonstop? Any help would be appreciated.

I know it's been discussed before so you could just look through the old threads. :)

Well the fan club claims to be offering good seats for a price... pah. Admittedly I got great UK seats through the fan club last year but the pre-sale here was different to the US one and the coming pre-sales. I did also get front row seats from ticketmaster and wayahead a couple of weeks before the concerts and I know people got tickets a couple of days before. So I would suggest doing that. It's a waiting game and can be a worry especially if the show is sold out. But we had London shows that said sold out for weeks and then all of a sudden tickets appeared!
