To be a roadie?
Okay, you know the dozens of people that follow Fleetwood Mac around the country and prepare the sets, ect. for the tour? The people that set everything up for the band, they are called roadies right?
How do these people land these totally cool jobs? I would kill to have this job. Anyone have any info. on this? |
What I've heard about life as a roadie isn't pleasant. It's a lot of grunt work. Yes, it would be cool to hear your favorite band night after night but the problem is that you're so busy working that you don't get to enjoy it.

ALOT of grunt work. Loooong days. Rarely get 8 hrs of sleep (due to travel to the next show). I only do it locally. I have friends who do it on the road.
No relationships No pets No life No thanks... |

And it's one of those jobs where you have to know someone. :( |
Pay is crappy only if you do it locally as a stagehand, if you're part of the crew pay is very, very high.
