Concert/Ticket/Seat Protocol ..???

I've just got my step-mother a ticket to the sold-out 19 Feb concert in Brisbane that me, my dad and a fan from Burnish have front row for.

Could some kind souls please look at thtis map of the venue and help me with a question. The map is here.

Our seats are front row in s47. The ticket I got for my stepmother is s17. As you can see, both sections are the same platinum price ($A206), but totally different areas. How does ticket checking work? If Lux (from Burnish) and I are standing up from the word go, do you reckon Diane could easily sneak in with our group and not be told to go back to the wastelands of s17?? Thanks for any ideas you can offer.

It depends on the venue. From my experience, though, as long as you have a ticket for that section it should not be too hard to sneak down to the front. At a concert last month I was supposed to be sitting in the fifth or sixth row but I spotted a spare seat next to my friends and claimed it for my own. No one turned up to sit there so it must have been vacant. It is a good idea to gauge the situation and if there is a spare seat it would be easier for your stepmother to put her belongings in it. It makes it look more like she belongs down there. ;) Just go for it though. The most they can do is send her back to her rightful seat.

Laura.

Thanks Laura - we'll give it a try! :wavey: Cause Lux and I sure won't be sitting down anyway! ;)

Thanks Sharon. I bought it off the guy today so we'll see how it goes on the night :) Shouldn't be a problem I reckon, here's hoping
