I thought, "why bother even taking pics w/ Pip and Louise at Stevie's feet?" ;-) But I couldn't resist taking a few:

I took this right when she was singing, "I don't THINK you do!" I love that part....

Where the band stayed (and James Brown too!). Harvey Nichols is directly across the street.

I was at the 30th gig too, I can't remember if Pip introduced me to you, I don't think she did.

The Mandarin Oriental looks nothing like I expected it to - I thought it was going to be all new and shiny.

Great pictures, thanks for sharing!

Thanks for posting Livia!! The picture of the hotel looks a bit wonky... nothing to do with the vodka and wine tasting in Harvey Nichols?? Hmmm sweety darling?

That hotel used to be the Hyde Park Hotel which was fab. I stayed there with my mother a long time ago. I am sure Mandarin Oriental did a bang up job on it and it is even better. Personally, I like The Dorchester - but they are all in just about the same area and are all just as nice.

I just love London!

Here is a link to the history of the hotel.

Also, if you go to

you can see pics. of the suites. I bet La Nicks had the one with the balcony overlooking Hyde Park.
